Hello, Friends! Today I'm back with another 2 Takes on a Trend inspiration project. Have you ever used a photo or challenge to inspire your creating? If you haven't, you really should! Sometimes it takes you to places you may have not otherwise tried and quite often, the results are surprisingly enlightening and fun! Here's this month's Pin Sights - Color Trend inspiration from Ellen Hutson's the CLASSroom:
And here are the two cards I was inspired to create:
That vivid bright background came from the alcohol ink backgrounds I created in this session << Full background technique details can be found there. This one had all the colors from the inspiration photo! I used the awesome new Essentials by Ellen Bottles of Bubbly dies to cut the bottle out of the brightly colored alcohol ink background and create a shaker card:
Confetti to fill the shaker was cut using the new Essentials by Ellen Yay dies from glitter paper. The glittery champagne bottle cord is also from the Bottles of Bubbly die set. That great sentiment is from the Cue the Confetti stamp set; it was stamped in vivid Jet Black Archival ink on the card base.
The second card I created using the die cut bottle from the card above (I love when you can easily get two cards from one creative session!):
The background of this card was inspired from the graffiti in the inspiration photo, by clear heat embossing two of the fabulous sentiments from the Cue the Confetti stamp set, then sponging Tumbled Glass Distress Ink over the background. Then I simply finished the card with some glittery bubbles and "Cheers" sentiment from the Bottles of Bubbly die set, and added some Stitching Lines!
Thanks so much for joining me today! Be sure to check on the CLASSroom blog to see another take on this challenge!
