Hello, Crafty Peeps! Today I am BEYOND excited to help my dear, sweet friend Taylor VanBruggen celebrate her awesome stamp company, Taylored Expressions, 10th birthday!! I can not believe it was "just" 10 years ago that Taylor invited me to be part of her first design team to help open her company adventure! You can find her inaugural blog post here! You can see and read about my very first project and post here, or view all of my Taylored Expressions projects/posts here (or click on "Taylored Expressions" over in my right sidebar, under Categories - over there) --->
Today's celebration involves almost 50 designers in a special birthday bash blog hop! You can find a full list of participants over at Taylor’s blog and hop along with us!
You will also find a bunch of fabulous new products that were released last night, especially for this birthday bash, over in the TE store here. Today I am highlighting some fun previously-released birthday products because TE LOVES birthdays and has a ton of ways to celebrate them!
Another thing I have always loved about Taylored Expressions is their Share Joy Campaign. It is very simple for you to participate in the campaign -- just by creating birthday cards and sending them in to Taylored Expressions! Here's a little more info about the campaign:
At the heart of Taylored Expressions is a mission to share joy through the gift of handmade cards. As part of their 10th birthday TE is continuing that mission with the launch of a special Share Joy campaign focused on providing birthday cards to those in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the U.S. To make as deep an impact as possible, TE is inviting card makers everywhere to join the campaign. Will you join us? Find out how to participate by viewing their Share Joy page HERE.
Now on to the birthday card I created for today's celebration!
Party streamers and cupcakes . . . what could be better?!! :) I used TE's awesome Party Streamers stamp set, stamped in TE's fabulous dye ink, in these shades: Strawberry Milkshake, Lollipop, Lemon Meringue, Granny Smith, and Sprinkles. Then I stamped the Sweet Tooth Tower of cupcakes with TE's Oreo ink, colored the tower with Copic markers to coordinate with the streamers, and die cut the tower with its coordinating (included) die. Next, I glittered some streamers and cupcake elements with clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen:
Finally, I white heat embossed the cool Happy Birthday sentiment from the Party Streamers stamp set onto TE's Oreo cardstock and used it as a "table" at the bottom of the card to anchor the cupcake tower, which is popped up on foam tape.
We hope you will join us in this celebration! You can find out more party details and the blog hop list over on the Taylored Expressions blog today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Oh my heck! I love this card so much! Maybe you can save it and mail it to me in February? ;) Or maybe I should head into my stamp room and try to recreate it. :) So glad you could play along today!
