Easter Blessings Basket

Today's JustRite cling background stamp introduction is Chevron Stripe: Combined with Spring Words: I made this 5.50" x 7.50" Easter basket card: I colored the chevron background stamp with Memento Markers and stamped onto white cardstock. The basket shape is from Cricut's Everyday Pop-Up Cards and the pretty filigree eggs are from Designer's Calendar cartridge. The Easter greeting was also inked with Memento Markers and die cut with Spellbinders Teardrop Circles die. It is popped up on Copic's high tack double-sided foam tape over a blue strip of cardstock embossed with Spellbinders Paisley M-Bossabilities. A tidbit from JustRite: Its Original Stamp Retirement Sales ends March 21. After that, all those great stamp sets will return to full price. These are the lowest JustRite Original prices of the year! Happy New Year 2012!

I hope you all are having a wonderful last day of the year! To celebrate New Year's Eve tonight, I made this Happy New Year card: The hat was cut using Cricut's Birthday Bash cartridge (6 inches), Basic Grey's Little Black Dress 6x6 papers, and JustRite Stampers' pretty "Happy New Year" sentiment fit perfectly at the bottom! If I could have my own custom designed New Year's hat, this would be it, LOL! A little bit of leopard and silver tinsel, and a lot of bling makes a girl happy! JustRite Stampers November Release #2: Winter Words

JustRite Stampers' final day of November release stamp sets brings you this wonderful Winter Words clear stamp set: Fabulous set of full of great words you'll use for the winter months ahead! So I thought ahead to Valentine's Day and came up with this heart shaped box of chocolates card: I used Cricut's Everyday Pop-Up Cards cartridge to create the card -- the chocolates are frosted with coarse crystal glitter (hopefully you can see that by clicking on the photos for a larger view). I stamped the "Happy Valentines Day" sentiment from JustRite's stamp set with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and hand cut the banner shape. Solid Background Stamping With Copic

Gardeners, Dirt & A Cricut?!!

How's that for a title, LOL! I LOVE shaped cards, so when I found this pretty flower shape in my Cricut cartridges (Paper Lace, cut at 5 in.), I set out to find a floral image that would work in the center ... this Lockhart African Violets in a Teacup image fit perfectly, I thought! After stamping the image onto Copic's X-Press It Blending Card, I colored it with these Copic markers: Lemon Atyou Spica Glitter Pen was used on the violet centers, and the Lavender Spica Glitter Pen was used to outline the violet flower cutout, which is popped up on foam squares, to give it a little bit more interest and dimension. I stamped the "gardeners know the best dirt" sentiment onto lemon cardstock and cut out the banner shape by hand. JustRite Vintage Floral Labels

Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this beautiful new Cling stamp set, Vintage Floral Labels: It was designed to fit Spellbinders Labels Thirteen and coordinates with JustRite’s previously released Vintage Oval Labels! The centers of these labels will accept JustRite’s 1-5/8” round centers with borders AND the 2” square centers, to give your existing stamps a whole new fabulous look! Here’s what I created with this set: This is a 4.50” square x .75” gift box that I cut with Cricut’s Wild Card cartridge . . . it holds a giant chocolate chip cookie! I accented it with the round floral label from this new set, stamped with Memento Rose Bud dye ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock. I quickly colored the label with these Copic markers: R81, R85 and the new YG61, for a soft look. Mint and Pink Atyou Spica Glitter Pens were used to give it a little sparkle! After die cutting the label with Spellbinders Labels Thirteen die, I stamped the center and border that comes with this set with Memento Rose Bud and Bamboo Leaves and die cut with Classic Circle Nestabilities dies. Birthday Celebrations!

Today we have another new JustRite Original Ribbed 3-1/4" set to show you, Birthday Celebrations: This set will be perfect all year long, for just about any birthday need you may have! Besides birthday cards, I decided this set would also make great cupcake picks! I stamped two of the extra-wide borders from this set onto Copic's X-Press It Blending Card and colored with these Copic markers: R81, R83, G21, G24 and Y21 -- it's so much fun to make them any color you'd like! Next, I die cut the left (yellow) center with Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities and then framed it with their Lacy Circles, die cut from rose cardstock. The centers were also colored with some of the same Copic colors and also die cut with Classic Circle Nestabilities; they are popped up on foam tape. The right pink center was easy to hand trim around the design and then also framed with a yellow Lacy Circles die cut. The cupcake wrappers were cut with the Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge -- I'm loving my Cricut! New JustRite Bird Houses Meet Cricut!

JustRite Stampers is debuting this darling new 3-1/4" round Original Ribbed stamp set today, Bird Houses: I've been anxiously awaiting this set and think it will be a big hit -- I love bird houses, how about you?!! I knew I wanted to combine one of these bird houses with the Winter Wonderland Cricut cartridge and thought this early Spring (but still wintery!) tree branch and bird would work well together. Here's how it turned out: I cut the branch and card front out of dark gray cardstock and hopefully you can see the pretty Spellbinders Flourish Impressabilities dry embossing on the lower part of the gray panel. I rubbed it with Versamark Dazzle Frost ink, to help highlight it -- hopefully you can see that a little better in this different outside view (click on any photo to see it larger): The tree buds were cut out of Blush cardstock and have Star Dust Stickles on them. The bird was also cut partially from the Blush cardstock and then Copic R81 marker used to shade it -- a quick and easy way to give more life to your die cuts! Friendship Blooms!

With the introduction of Spellbinders new Blossms Three die templates yesterday, AND Labels 18 earlier this week, JustRite Stampers can now reveal they have a coordinating new cling stamp set, Friendship Blooms! One of my New Year's resolutions this year is to do more scrapbooking -- I love having pages of my two sweet daughters on display in my home! So here's an 8-inch page I made with this new stamp set, new Spellbinders dies, and a photo of them cuddled up on the sofa watching a scary movie together last last month: I decided on a color palette from the photo -- raspberry pink and chocolate, one of my favorite combos! I stamped the smaller blossom from this stamp set with Ranger Adirondack Espresso dye ink on kraft cardstock, to create my own patterned paper. This geometric shape is very easy to line up: Then I stamped the small flower again with Memento Rose Bud ink on Neenah Natural White cardstock and die cut three accents with the smallest of the Blossoms Three dies -- they are a perfect fit! Cricut Used!

I finally took a little time to get acquainted with my Cricut Expression this week -- for a school project my 8-year had to turn trash into treasure (a lesson on recycling something that might otherwise be put into the trash or recycle bin). Here's what she came up with: A Mardi-Gras type mask! She knew exactly what she wanted (an owl) and had even sketched it all out (wish I had taken a photo of her sketch before we turned it in). Fortunately, we found the cutest owl image in the Cindy Lou cartridge! We cut it at 8.75" out of cocoa, pumpkin & turquoise cardstock, so it would fit the blue mushroom container in the photo below that she recycled and wanted to use for the base of the mask. After struggling for about an hour, getting used to my machine (!) cutting out all the pieces and gluing them all together, she added bronze glitter pen accents around the edges: She added glitter glue to the turquoise body pieces, rhinestones around the body, and decorative brown & orange brads for "earrings" since, after all, this is a GIRL owl!
