New JustRite Cling, Kindness!

JustRite Stampers has another beautiful new cling stamp set sneak peek today, Kindness: This stamp set is made to coordinate with one of Spellbinders new Winter release dies, Labels 20! I used the second from largest (die #4) to die cut the largest label stamp in this set that I stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock. (Just for reference, the smaller label stamp in this set matches with the middle or die #3). I stamped one of the four sentiments from this set with Rich Coco ink onto kraft cardstock and then die cut it with Spellbinders Classic Petite Oval Nestabilities (smallest in the large set). The stamped frame is accented with pearls and popped up over the kraft panel that was dry embossed with the Victoria Cuttlebug folder. Zig-zag machine stitching secures everything to the chocolate card base. I used this week's CR84FN11 color challenge (one of my favorites!) and CPS sketch (turned) as inspiration for this card. September Wildflower Calendar

How did September slip up on us? Or at least me! I usually think of sunflowers when I think of September -- there are usually quite a few fields of them around my house this time of year. So I thought Gina K Design's new Wild at Heart stamp set by my friend, Melanie Muenchinger, would make a good sunflower'ish background paper and embellishment for my September calendar: I started by stamping Melanie's wildflower background stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Gina K's Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight Ivory cardstock and then just like black framed wildflower card I made, I colored the negative space of the stamped image (where the ivory cardstock shows through) with Copic markers YR23, Y15, YG03, and YG63. I love the "chalkboard" effect of using this stamp this way! The base of this calendar is 4-inch chipboard coasters. I cut my 3-inch downloadable calendar with Spellbinders Labels Eight die and airbrushed it while the cardstock was still in the die with Copic E33. Rainy Monday!

It's been raining for more than two days straight here and I felt like I needed a little breath of Spring today! This birthday card was quick and easy and uses JustRite's new Breath of Spring violets/forget-me-nots, coordinated with some of my favorite October Afternoon paper! I simply stamped right on my cream card front and colored the flowers with these Copic markers that coordinated with the paper: The birthday sentiment is from JustRite's Just A Note set. It was stamped, punched and tied with twine. A little Cuttlebug embossing grounds the flowers and completes this card! I hope it puts a little Spring into your day! WSC106: Inchies!

This week's Weekend Sketch Challenge is perfect for Inchies, isn't it?!! I'll go ahead and wait a moment while you take a second look around to make sure you are visiting the blog you think you are! I don't know if you've ever noticed, but I don't do a lot of simple WHITE ... it just scares me, LOL! I love clean and simple white cards I see other people make but somehow I just never pull it off. But it seemed right for my idea for this card, so I went with it! I also went back to my basic white Inchie Arts Inchie Squares ... lined four of them up and stamped Karen Lockhart's Millinery Holiday Ribbon across them with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and then colored them with these Copic markers: YG95, YG95, G24, R37 and Copic Spica Glitter Pens in Melon (on the holly leaves) and Olive (greenery). The first White Inchie Square was stamped with Karen Lockhart's new Noel sentiment in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and the Inchie Square outlined with the Copic R37 marker. Happy Valentine's Day- OCL Flowers For You

Happy Valentine's Day! Here's that card I promised you, using the newly released stamp set from Our Craft Lounge -- Flowers For You that I'm giving away (provided so graciously by my friends Cami & Joy at Our Craft Lounge) two posts below this one. I used Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #68 again for this layout (I told you I ended up really liking it!) and colored with these Copic markers and Copic Spica glitter pens: Back with more details in a bit . . . Sorry about that -- we decided on a VERY impromptu whim to go out for a Valentine dinner with friends and I had to leave abruptly! This Cuttlebug Concentric Heart die cut was sitting on my desk and fit almost perfectly around this flower bouquet, so I decided to use the heart as a frame and cut around the flowers so they would extend over the frame -- I like happy accidents like that! Spring Robin Inchie Notecard

Sorry I've been away for the past few days, but I haven't been feeling very well. Here's a Spring notecard I made earlier this week. I've recently been rediscovering my long-neglected Cuttlebug embossing folders & dies and used one of my favorites, here -- Bow Frame A2 embossing folder. I noticed Eclectic Paperie has this particular A2 embossing folder in stock right now and also has a lot of their Cuttlebug products on sale! I embossed the Bow Frame onto an Inchie Arts Inchie Notes card (from the blue/lavender collection) that is 3.5" square. The notecard has a white core, so after embossing it, I sanded the embossed areas and edges of the notecard to bring out the white core. The Itty Bitty Birds and Itty Bitty Nest from Lockhart Stamp Company were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto an Inchie Arts White Inchie Square and colored with Copic markers. Then I highlighted areas with some more of those new softer, lighter pretty Copic Spica Glitter pens (available in April): I used Baby Blue, Sand, Buttermilk, Mint & Peach -- the colors sound SO yummy, don't they?!!
