Gina K Designs Mix It Up Monday Challenge!

Hello everyone –- Happy Memorial Day! I am excited to bring you today's Mix It Up Monday StampTV Challenge: Use sewing on your project -- either real or faux stitching OR a sewing themed project AND a Copic balloon coloring tutorial! The Gina K design team recently gave you a hop full of Sew Fun inspiration, which you can find HERE . . . now we want to see what YOU create! Here's what I came up with: I machine stitched the balloon strings and zig-zag stitched around the die cut image. The popcorn box was a find at Michael’s and I just covered it in a cute kid-friendly, festive & colorful patterned paper from BasicGrey’s Sweet Threads 6x6 pad! Fruit Punch Stickles accents the top of the scalloped box. We can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge! Spring-Summer Photo Tray

Happy Hump Day, everyone! We're on the downhill side of a long holiday weekend here in the U.S. (Good Friday & Easter). Today over in the CLASSroom I'm sharing my new Spring/Summer girly photo tray. I hope you'll join me there to see all the fun things I used in it . . . I had a blast making this! COPIC UPDATES: I also wanted to let you all know that I've updated my Copic Certification Classes page. Charlotte NC, Las Vegas, Columbus OH Regular/Standard & Intermediate, San Diego, Minneapolis, and Pensacola FL are all now OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, so anyone can sign up/apply for them. Newly opened this week are Certification Classes for Coos Bay, Oregon Standard (taught by Marianne Walker) and Calgary Intermediate (Sherrie Siemens) for June 18th. Also opening this week will be Lexington KY Standard (Colleen Schaan), Wichita KS Standard (Lori Craig) and Wichita KS Intermediate (Debbie Olson) all for June 23rd. JustRite Signs of Life

Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this new Cling stamp set, Signs of Life. It coordinates with Spellbinders Labels 3, Labels 12, Labels 15, Labels 16, and Lacey Squares dies! Any of JustRite’s mini sentiments will fit in the long, narrow frame, most 1-5/8” round JustRite Original sentiments fit in the round frames, and 2” square sentiments fit in the square frames, giving your existing JustRite Original stamps a whole new look! All the great “sign” type of possibilities with this set are a fabulous given, but I always like finding other, not so obvious, uses for stamp sets! This set is full of wonderful sentiments, too, that you’ll use for all types of everyday things. I used the smaller square frame and sentiment, “Live well, Laugh often, Love much” to make a tag to add to this floral closet sachet ball I made: I started with a 3-inch styrofoam ball and used long pink pearlized straight pins to add a bunch of Prima flowers to it: I attached a bit of hand-dyed seam binding (instructions can be found HERE) at the top of the ball, to serve as a hanger. JustRite Friday Challenge 017

Today's JustRite Friday Challenge is to make inexpensive gifts. Perfect timing, since this was Teacher Appreciation Week at our school! Here's the card I made for our fabulously sweet 2nd grade teacher: To accent this pretty Webster's Petite Paper, I used JustRite's new Kaleidoscope center to stamp a focal point in Spun Sugar Distress Ink. Then I overstamped it with the What's Cookin' border: The image was die cut and matted with Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circle Nestabilities dies. A striped border strip of the reverse side of the paper was punched with Martha Stewart's Circle Dot edger punch and placed along the lower edge of the Memory Box Sugar Plum notecard. The focal point was accented with a chocolate KaiserCraft pearl.
