Here's my card: To make the wreath, I die cut a 3-inch circle from cardstock, then used the template to lightly "score" around the shape with my bone folder on the card front. This will make a slight indentation in the card base -- enough to act as a guide to stamp the sprig with Grass Green ink and make it into a wreath! The berries were made with a dot from Beth's new Lots of Thanks stamp set we will debut on Wednesday, stamped with Red Hot ink. Christmas 2013 Countdown Calendar

Hi, Everyone -- Before the busy holiday season sets in tomorrow, I wanted to share my annual Christmas countdown calendar with you! As usual, the calendar is available as a free download over on my Downloads & Tutorials page (scroll down to Free Downloads) and prints on one sheet of 8.50" x 11" cardstock with approximately 3.50" of header space at the top for decorating. She was colored with the Copic Sketch Markers shown below: Glossy Accents covers the light bulbs, to give them a realistic glow! Finishing out the header on my calendar, I used these My Favorite Things Die-namics: Blueprints 9 (scallop border & stitched banner/ribbon), and Accent It-December Memories -- I adore the font in this die set! It is a 5-inch hanging wall plaque I altered from a dollar bin find: I used JustRite Papercraft's Birthday Vintage Labels Four on an Inchie Arts 3-inch black Art Square and white heat embossed it to create a popular chalkboard look. The center sentiment was stamped with white chalk ink and some smudges added for a realistic chalkboard look. JustRite April Release Day 1

Happy April, everyone, and welcome to JustRite Papercraft's April release inspiration blog hops this week! Our first stamp set to show you this week is this cling mounted red rubber Floral Thank You: Solid stamps like this are a great tool to create one of my favorite background techniques, Copic Blender Bleaching, like I did on the turquoise background of this 4.75" square card: It's a pretty quick and easy technique -- Start by airbrushing glossy white cardstock with the Copic Sketch marker of your choice. I used BG49: Next, use an alcohol prep wipe as an "ink pad" -- wipe the surface of the stamp and then quickly (before the alcohol has a chance to dry) stamp onto the airbrushed background: In reality, the alcohol will be lifting off the Copic airbrushed color, thus "bleaching" the cardstock. Next, to create the floral focal image, I used Memento Markers to ink the floral spray in this stamp set, using Rose Bud, Bamboo Leaves &Teal Zeal. Our first featured set today is All Occasion Tags 2 by Tami Mayberry: I love these pretty frames – they make such quick and easy cards, like this birthday one: I mixed two of my favorite new Gina K Color Companions Ink Pads, Cherry Red for the frame and Ocean Mist for the sentiment, stamped onto Gina’s Ivory Heavy Base Weight Cardstock. Then I used Copic BG000 to color the outside part of the frame. I used the coordinating Spellbinders Grommet Tags die to cut it out and then popped it up on foam tape. January 2013 Calendar

Happy 2013, everyone ... a new year, a new month, a new calendar! I adore snowmen and this relatively new one, Uncle Todd Juggles, from Lockhart Stamp Company is a cutie, don't you think? I stamped him onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with markers from Copic's 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Sketch set: The smaller nibs on these markers make it easier to color smaller details, like the striped scarf! But yet they also have the super brush nib that I adore about the regular Sketch markers. Copic 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Sketch Set markers used: B000, BG01, E42, R46, YR12, plus Sketch markers E43 & C1: I die cut the snowman with the larger Dainty Doily Duo Circle die from My Favorite Things, mounted with Copic foam tape to the My Mind's Eye All Is Bright 6x6 patterned paper. Snowballs are covered with Star Dust Stickles glitter. I used some Thickers foam alpha stickers to spell out the abreviated month (Jan) on top of some All Is Bright washi tape. M-Bossed Inchie Birthday

You may have noticed me using Spellbinders new M-Bossabilities embossing folders on some of my recent projects . . . that's because today's Splitcoaststampers Product Focus is on the embossing folders and I had the pleasure of working with them for that! You can find the entire M-Bossabilities Product Focus review at Splitcoaststampers and here's another project I made with the sweet Paisley M-Bossabilities folder -- a birthday card: This time, I tried the embossing folder on three Inchie Arts Inchie+ matboard squares, by taping them in place on the embossing folder, then running them through the Grand Calibur: Look how wonderfully the Inchie+ matboard squares embossed! Next, I colored the raised embossing with these Copic markers: The Lockhart Rosebud Cupcake was stamped with Adirondack Slate dye ink onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card and also colored with the Copic markers: The cupcake was die cut and placed on a small white doily. Gina K Designs November Release Inspiration Hop 3!

Welcome to Day 3 of Gina K Designs’ November stamp set release inspiration blog hops! Remember, all of the new November release stamp sets are now available in Gina’s store! Happy Halloween!

I had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Pacific Northwest this past week, for our annual Copic team meetings in Eugene, OR. We all took a break one evening between a couple of days of planning meetings and took a gorgeous, scenic drive to the coast (Florence) for dinner . . . fun times! (Sherrie Siemens, Debbie Olson, Nancy Zenke, Lori Craig, Jenn Balcer, Me, Colleen Schaan and Marianne Walker) On Friday Jenn Balcer taught a Copic Standard Certification Class: And since my flight didn't leave until later that afternoon, I helped out Jenn and some students a little: Also in the class, from the Copic offices was Richard Owens, our inhouse online community expert, who Tweeted the above photos.
